SUMMARY

The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing tracer and logging operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of daily field activities. This role involves direct communication with service companies and company representatives, organizing job schedules, and providing Field Service Representatives and Production Service Specialists with the resources and guidance needed to perform their duties effectively.

The incumbent may serve as acting District Manager during absences, assist as an Assistant Radiation Safety Officer, and conduct field audits to maintain compliance and operational standards. Additional responsibilities include arranging slick-line or carrier services, supporting operational strategy development, maintaining assigned company vehicles, delivering products to customers, and implementing workplace safety measures. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires availability for on-call responsibilities, travel, and weekend work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Communicate with service companies and company representatives to coordinate schedules, directions, and job procedures for tracer and logging operations.
  • Organize and assign daily job schedules, directions, and procedures for Field Service Representatives and Production Service Specialists.
  • Ensure Field Service Representatives and Production Service Specialists have the necessary resources to perform their jobs correctly and safely.
  • Arrange slick-line or other carrier services for logging operations.
  • Perform the role of District Manager during absences (e.g., vacation coverage).
  • Carry out duties of Assistant Radiation Safety Officer as required.
  • Conduct field audits on Field Service Representatives and Production Service Specialists.
  • Perform duties of a Field Service Technician and Production Service Specialist when needed.
  • Assist the District Manager in developing operational strategies and improving efficiencies.
  • Maintain assigned company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and regular mechanical upkeep.
  • Deliver products to customers as required.
  • Implement measures to minimize workplace accidents and promote safety.
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities 24/7, with willingness to travel and work weekends.
  • Perform additional duties, tasks, or projects assigned by management.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER BEING HIRED BY PROTECHNICS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

  • May be required to successfully complete the initial new hire classroom training and certification program.
  • Through a field evaluation, will have to demonstrate competence in the use of radioactive material and survey instruments that will be used on the job.
  • Incumbents may be responsible for completing the classroom training course given by ProTechnics that teaches basic knowledge of radiation principles.
  • May be required to successfully complete the Tracer Operations Manual Orientation and have a working understanding of tracer operational procedures, requirements and guidelines outlined therein.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum four years' oilfield service experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record required.
  • Certifications in Radiation, Well Logging or Subsurface Tracer Operations preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software preferred.
  • Excel skills will be required to complete job reports and paperwork.
  • Incumbents will be required to learn the STMU (Spectral Tracer Monitoring Unit) software.

  • Employee may be required to travel by air, sea, and public/private ground transport. Employee may be required to work at both onshore and offshore oil and gas well sites.
