Job Description
Objective: Provide equipment technician services to customers in a safe, cost effective, timely, and professional manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment repair logs
- Install, maintain, and repair fuel, lube, and DEF equipment
- Diagnose equipment issues and communicate findings to the department manager
- Complete repairs in the most cost-effective and efficient manner
- Properly complete parts request forms and accurately document parts usage and labor time
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for fuel and lube equipment
- Update customer repair spreadsheets in a timely and accurate manner
- Set up fuel, lube, and DEF equipment at new customer locations
- Assist with fleet maintenance, including equipment, tires, and brakes
- Perform other related duties and projects as assigned
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Ability to build positive working relationships with technical and administrative staff
- Ability to understand and apply company safety, health, and environmental policies
- Proficiency using a variety of tools required for equipment installation and repair
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
- Stable employment history and good attendance record
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Flexibility to accommodate schedule changes when needed
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally, 25-50 lbs. frequently, and 10-20 lbs. constantly
- Ability to bend, sit, squat, stand, crawl, walk, and reach above shoulder level
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and tanks up to 40 feet
- Must be courteous and professional when interacting with customers
Additional Requirements
- Ability to pass a DOT or "Fit for Duty" physical exam
- Ability to pass a driving test while hauling a utility trailer
