Be the backbone of the operating room. Where preparation meets precision. UVA Health University Medical Center is seeking Surgical Support Technicians (SST) to support the Main Operating Room, one of the busiest and most complex perioperative environments in Virginia.
This is a hands-on, mission critical role for individuals who thrive in fast paced clinical settings and want to be directly involved in surgical care, even without prior OR experience. As an SST, your work ensures operating rooms are safe, ready, and fully supported so surgical teams can focus on what matters most: the patient. This role is ideal for candidates looking to launch or grow a perioperative career while gaining exposure to advanced surgical services in a nationally recognized academic medical center. The Role At UVA Health, Surgical Support Technicians are respected members of the perioperative team, working alongside surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and technologists to keep surgery running safely, efficiently, and on time.
