Focus: The Turnaround Supervisor is responsible for leading all aspects of the turnaround in Texas Operations Maintenance. This role provides oversight for Turnaround (TA) budget and will directly manage $10-20+ million per year. Through the use of Global Turnaround Methodology (GTM), the Turnaround Supervisor will ensure the appropriate, timely involvement of all functions critical to the success of the turnaround.
The Freeport site is the single largest chlor alkali complex in the world with more than 1,000 employees. The chemical products produced at our Freeport location include chlorine and caustic soda, vinyls, epoxies, chlorinated organics, aromatics, bleach, hydrogen, and hydrochloric acid.
Turnaround Supervisor Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain the turnaround schedules and budgets. Coordinate site integration issues through the TA Supervisors network.
- Lead turnaround teams to develop plans and successfully implement them for a series of turnarounds in each of the plants in Freeport. Control the cost and timing of the turnarounds to meet the business and site needs.
- Define work list by freeze date; enforce administrative controls for add-ons. Estimate cost of TA based on scoped work; adjust plans to meet constraints. Identify opportunities for frequency extension between turnarounds. Develop critical path - integrate operations, projects, and maintenance activities and optimize.
- Participate in and lead efforts in site, regional, and possibly maintenance global network to develop discipline and tools to raise effectiveness and performance of GTM execution.
- Lead core TA team to ensure work coordination, planning, scheduling, cost management, material management, operations rep, project rep, and shared services are working together in Front End Loading (FEL), pre-TA activities, TA execution and post-TA activities.
- Work with Reliability Engineers to update Facility Rehabilitation and Maintenance Strategy. Lead TA Steering Team to align operations, projects, maintenance, and Environmental, Health and Safety functions.
Turnaround Supervisor Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree* in relevant field preferred
- Must meet one of the following experience requirements:
- 6+ years of work experience in a turnaround or construction leadership role; OR,
- 10+ years of work experience in a maintenance role that reflects progressive responsibility at a process or chemical plant
- SAP Plant Maintenance knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Turnaround Work Processes and operating systems in an industrial environment, including effectively working with all stakeholders while facilitating program development and championing program implementation
- Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US driver's license
