Parametric Process Technician

Location: Bloomington, Minnesota | On-Site
Employment Type: Full-Time | B Shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 5:50 PM - 6:00 AM)

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs electrical parametric tests for production and development wafers in Polar's fabrication test room; set up test equipment; monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products. Provides technical assistance to process/test development and engineering personnel

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Disposition hold lots per Polarcaps and engineering feedback.

  • First line of troubleshooting yield and setup issues on the test floor.

  • Document and hand off software, hardware and equipment issues to the appropriate resource for resolution.

  • Communicate with, and support training of, the operators.

  • Run programs to ensure the test floor is operating properly: QUAL, DIAGs, Tester Continuity, R&T, GRR, Leakage Check and others that test engineering creates.

  • Perform setups and run products to check out new/repaired test-ware for engineering.

  • Watch for opportunities for improvement in layout, testing or software interaction with Production.

  • Update documents and OI's to keep testing current.

  • Utilize computer skills to fill in spread sheets, create documents, look for obsolete parts to keep the testers working, and review test results for issues.

  • Other tasks like particle counts in the Fab, shipping parts out for repair, special experiments for testing, contacting support organizations for issue resolution (I.S, Facilities) tester and probe card maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor processing techniques, electronics, mechanics, test equipment and parametric testing

  • Skills in diagnosing equipment, computers, trouble shooting, verbal and written communication, problem solving and organization.

  • Typically requires AS degree in Electronics or Robotics, or process technician experience in a related functional area (parametric). Experience in the parametric test area is helpful.

What We Offer

Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour (good-faith estimate), plus shift differentials
