Job Description

Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Electrical Engineering Intern eager to join a focused team of engineers developing highly complex, rugged, and secure electronic packaging solutions that support our nation's warfighters and first responders. During this internship, you'll integrate directly with the MicroE team to support the development of next-generation system-in-package (SiP) designs.



Job Responsibilities:




  • Collaborate with the SiP team to develop block diagrams, schematics, netlists, and technical documentation



  • Support laboratory activities, including electrical measurements, troubleshooting, and validation testing



  • Develop software scripts to improve team efficiency and automation



  • Work closely with the SiP team to learn and use advanced design tools from Ansys and Cadence



  • Learn and apply the fundamentals of chip-level package design





Required Qualifications:




  • Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
  • A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process

  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals



  • Familiarity with electrical schematics



  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python or C++



  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters)



  • Strong verbal communication and technical documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:




  • Prior internship, co-op, or academic project experience related to hardware design or testing



Pay Grade Range
Fulltime Equivalent Job Grade Salary Range for this position: $17.00 - 38.00/hour
