Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Summer 2026 Software Engineer Intern to support our TMPC program in Santa Clara, CA.

Join our TMPC Software Development Team. You'll have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, supportive environment with our full-time staff, allowing you to grow your skills and your career while building your software development experience. You'll work in an Agile software development environment focusing on Information Assurance (IA) and Security to ensure our software and computing environment meet our security requirements. You will support requirements/story development, software architecture and design, and development.

This internship is onsite in Santa Clara, CA. We ask that the intern be available to work the duration of the summer (June to August) and commit to working a minimum of 35 hours per week. This program is geared toward technical college students, actively enrolled at a four-year university, who will be rising into their junior or senior years.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

    HS Diploma and some advanced level training.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Have completed progress toward a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational experience in an object-oriented programming language and exposure to software engineering processes.
  • Hands on programming experience through coursework and/or prior internships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies and concepts.
  • Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3.0 and above GPA.
  • Exposure to Agile software development processes.
  • Familiarity with web development frameworks and/or database technologies.

Target Salary Range

The rate / range per hour below represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
