At CLA, our family members in Deal Services focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximize value in their business deals. In Post Merger Integrations Services at CLA, you will focus on providing strategic guidance on a broad range of technical accounting, financial reporting, transaction structures and capital markets topics. You will advise clients on complex accounting advisory and financial reporting issues around deals and other transformational business events that may impact an organization's value.

The Opportunity:
As part of the Post Merger Integrations Services technical advisory team, you are expected to advise private equity firms and other closely held businesses as they undergo major transitions such as mergers and buy-side carve outs while mitigating risk, minimizing disruption to the business, and ultimately helping them evolve to the new platform's operating and reporting model. As a Manager you are responsible for leading teams and managing client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You are accountable for project success, building client trust by being proactive and responsive, and maintaining top standards in our engagements. You are responsible for coaching, leveraging team members' unique strengths, and managing performance to deliver on client expectations. Responsibilities:
* Advise and prepare new portfolio company finance teams to meet new reporting standards by:
o Identifying gaps in current ERP systems and accounting processes and propose solutions to allow
o Advising private equity clients on resource requirements to equip new portfolio companies to meet new reporting standards
o Preparing purchase accounting adjustments and required financial statement disclosures
o Developing plans to exist transition service agreements (TSAs) where needed
* Assist clients in implementing new ERP and accounting processes
* Lead teams and manage client accounts
* Maintain project success and uphold standards
* Motivate, develop, and inspire team members
* Coach and leverage team members' strengths
* Identify opportunities that contribute to the firm's success
* Embrace technology and innovation

What You Must Have:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting
* CPA License
* 8+ years of experience in integrating acquisitions and applying business combination accounting of highly-acquisitive organizations
* Demonstrated passion for U.S. GAAP and problem-solving within small to mid-size organizations

* Hands-on experience with all aspects of accounting for mid-sized organizations
* Experience with acquisitions, alliances, post-deal accounting
* Experience with GAAP conversions and accounting complexity
* Experience with ERP conversions and implementations
* Experience developing and implementing accounting controls and procedures
* Innovating through new and existing technologies

* Working with large, complex data sets
* Utilizing digitization tools to enhance engagements

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range.

The compensation range for this position in Massachusetts is: $124,000.00 - $202,000.00
