What you'll do

We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our Advanced Non-Terrestrial Solutions team team in Carlsbad, CA! This hybrid role offers the unique blend of working collaboratively within our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work.

Working closely with stakeholders - this role will set and clearly communicate the business-facing product technology vision, align the strategy, define and oversee the execution of the roadmap, and drive adoption of the technology that enables our business to operate efficiently and effectively.

Modern communications service providers must plan and build networks with service delivery, customer satisfaction & partner success, and service & revenue assurance in mind.

You will inspire and influence the change necessary to realize operational excellence by driving: 1) adoption of a set of business capabilities critical to enable telecommunications service providers, and 2) continuous business process improvement building upon a set of industry-inspired processes optimized for efficiency as the telecommunications industry has evolved over time.


The day-to-day

  • Be part of a team of product management experts with deep knowledge and experience providing technology-based solutions that enable efficient business operations.
  • Work closely with business leaders and operational stakeholders to define the overarching global business operations strategy and operational plan.
  • Build strong working relationships and an effective & efficient operating model with peers representing our business areas, engineering, and operations teams to intake, assess, plan, publish, and execute effectively.
  • Actively influence outcomes using technology and product expertise, including helping schedules stay on track, creating clear requirements upfront, managing feature backlogs, and making the business more efficient to operate.
  • Define product vision, value proposition, and ROI-driven business cases for the platform that enables sales, fulfillment, provisioning, assurance, and billing across mobile and satellite services.
  • Own and maintain the multi-year product roadmap aligned to company objectives, prioritize capabilities and releases based on impact to lead-to-cash metrics, regulatory requirements, technical constraints, and partner dependencies.
  • Define, measure, and publish product success metrics; driven by a set of goals with annual targets resulting in higher sales revenue, e.g., by reducing time-to-market, and millions of dollars savings in operating expenses by reducing/eliminating a) redundant system/software components and managed services costs and b) labor required to execute manually intensive business processes. Success is determined by measuring performance metrics such as a) time-to-market to deliver products/services and new features and b) business process cycle time associated with critical business functions such as onboarding customers and partners, modifying product offerings, and recognizing revenue.
  • Define requirements and oversee the delivery of an observability platform that delivers usable telemetry, KPIs, and dashboards for stakeholders in sales, fulfillment, network operations, assurance, and billing; use observability to identify friction, drive operational improvements, and validate SLAs.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales & marketing, finance & accounting, operations, engineering, UX researchers and designers, and other product managers on your team to design and operationalize end-to-end lead-to-cash flows including product offer management, quoting and pricing, opportunity management, order capture, order orchestration, provisioning and in-life lifecycle management of 5G NTN services, problem management & performance assurance, and billing & revenue assurance.
  • Drive technical and commercial integration with sales and distribution partners, mobile network operators for roaming and visited/home network interactions, roaming settlement and IPX providers, and 5G core network vendors. Own partner requirements, acceptance criteria, and integration & test plans.
  • Ensure solutions meet regulatory, security, privacy, and interconnect obligations; manage billing accuracy, revenue assurance controls, and auditability for partner settlements and customer invoicing.
  • Display outstanding execution skills and quick thinking, making informed decisions in dynamic situations that yield positive outcomes.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years' product management experience or equivalent in telecom, complex B2C & B2B services, and cloud computing; 3+ years' experience defining product strategy and delivering lead-to-cash solutions on time & within budget that delight customers and stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge in the telecommunications sector, particularly mobile and satellite communications and associated services. 4G/5G Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) subject matter expertise is highly desired.
  • Technical competence with demonstrated ability to define, prioritize, plan, and oversee the integration & delivery - in partnership with engineering - of mobile/satellite connectivity services that leverage cloud software & infrastructure.
  • Direct experience with BSS/OSS platforms, product catalog, order management, provisioning systems, service assurance, billing engines, and revenue assurance practices.
  • Proven track record leading cross-functional and multi-vendor delivery, agile product development, writing clear product requirements and acceptance criteria, and driving UAT and partner testing.
  • Strong analytical and data-oriented decision-making skills. Comfort with observability data, KPIs, dashboarding, and translating operational metrics into product priorities.
  • Ability to think strategically, actively balance strategic goals and tactical constraints, influence good decisions, effectively resolve conflicts, and negotiate win-win outcomes.
  • Multiple examples of creating detailed requirements and incremental/iterative delivery plans - driven by clearly defined outcomes and success criteria - and overseeing implementation and launch of telecommunications products and services.
  • Strong empathy for and understanding of the customer and their needs.
  • Experience developing business cases to justify product investments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.

What will help you on the job

  • Strong understanding of 4G/5G core principles, NTN concepts, roaming models, interconnect/IPX, roaming settlement processes, and integration patterns (APIs, messaging, mediation). Experience with 4G and/or 5G core vendors and NTN service models.
  • Familiarity with roaming billing standards (TAP3, BCE, CDR mediation) and commercial settlement flows.
  • Background in satellite communications or experience integrating satellite and terrestrial services.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or equivalents).
  • Expert knowledge of industry-adopted processes and technology used to facilitate the sale and fulfillment of goods and services, enable business partners and support customers, bill customers and recognize sales revenue.
  • Demonstrated focus on detail and hands-on business planning & operational involvement.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong and trusting working relationships with stakeholders, customers, peers, and team members.
  • MBA or advanced degree in product/strategy or telecommunications.

Salary range

$169,000.00 - $267,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $210,000.00- $315,000.00/ annually
