We are looking for a technically skilled Solutions Designer for our Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) and Fraud capabilities built on theOkta Customer Identity Cloud, enabling secure, seamless, and compliantdigital onboarding, authentication, and servicing journeys.

You'll be responsible for translatingbusiness, security, fraud, and regulatory requirementsinto well-engineered identity and fraud solutions, balancingcustomer experience, risk mitigation, and platform resilience. The Solutions Designer partners closely with Product, Engineering, Cyber Security, Fraud, Risk, and Architecture teams to ensure solutions arereusable, scalable, and fit for a regulated financial services environment.


Responsibilities

Solution Design - CIAM & Fraud
  • Design end-to-end CIAM and fraud-aware identity solutions:
    • Authentication and federation (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML)
    • Okta Identity Enginefor adaptive, risk-based authentication
    • Universal Directoryfor customer identity profiles and attributes
    • Multi-factor authentication (MFA), step-up and recovery flows
  • Design identity flows that integrate fraud signals and outcomes into:
    • Digital onboarding and identity proofing
    • Login and re-authentication journeys
    • High-risk transactions and step-up scenarios
  • Produce clear and consumablesolution design artefactsincluding architecture diagrams, sequence flows, integration patterns, and non-functional requirements.
  • Design integrations between Okta CIAM and:
    • Mobile and web banking platforms
    • API gateways and backend services
    • Fraud decision engines and monitoring platforms
    • Customer data and CRM systems
  • Ensure solutions supporthigh-volume, low-latency digital trafficwith appropriate resilience and failover.
  • Balance security controls withfriction-aware customer experience.
  • Partner with Fraud Operations to ensure solutions support effective monitoring and resolution.
Security, Risk & Regulatory Design
  • Embedsecurity-by-design, privacy-by-design, and compliance-by-defaultprinciples in all solutions.
  • Ensure alignment with financial services regulations and policies related to:
    • Strong Customer Authentication (SCA)
    • Data protection and privacy
    • Fraud prevention and operational risk
  • Design secure management of credentials, secrets, encryption, tokens, and keys.
  • Support design governance, threat modelling, audits, and regulatory reviews.
Delivery Enablement & Engineering Collaboration
  • Work closely with engineering and delivery pods to:
    • Translate designs into epics, features, and backlog items
    • Provide ongoing design assurance during build and test
    • Resolve design trade-offs and integration challenges
  • Ensure CIAM and fraud solutions areimplementable, testable, operable, and resilient.
  • Contribute to reusable patterns, reference architectures, and playbooks for identity and fraud.
Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the CIAM & Fraud solution design authority within initiatives and delivery squads.
  • Collaborate with Product, UX, Fraud, Cyber Security, Risk, and Operations teams to align designs to outcomes.
  • Clearly communicate technical solutions, risks, and trade-offs to senior and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Software application development OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Software application development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as aTechnology Solutions Designer, Solution Architect, or Senior Engineerwithinfinancial services.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience with at least one major programming language (e.g. Java, Python, Go, etc.,)
  • Hands-on experience designingOkta-based CIAM solutions.
  • Strong understanding offraud prevention, risk-based authentication, and secure digital journeys.
  • Experience working withinagile, product-aligned delivery models.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, audit, and operational risk expectations.
  • Strong CIAM and fraud-aware identity design expertise
  • Deep understanding ofOkta architecture and configuration concepts
  • Ability to balancecustomer experience, security, and fraud controls
  • Excellent documentation, diagramming, and stakeholder communication skills
  • Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with attention to detail
  • OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML
  • Fraud signal integration and risk-based decisioning
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, event-driven architectures
  • Experience of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
