Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire an Applications System Engineer reporting to the Senior Manager of Application and Document Services.

The Application Systems Engineer is responsible for the operation, support, maintenance, upgrades, and development of new features and enhancements for the Intapp Walls environments that support the firm's Matter Maintenance, and Ethical Wall systems.

This position will be resident in our Philadelphia office with a hybrid working schedule.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the creation, modification, and enforcement of security policies and access approval processes.

  • Administer all technology related to the firm'sIntappOPEN platforms for Integration Builder, and Wall Builder, including all customizations specific to the firm's environment (e.g., Microsoft SQL, Elite, etc.).

  • Design, develop, and implement new features and functionality.

  • Oversee and executes testing for system operations and new features and functionality.

  • Perform quality assurance (QA) and creates andmaintainsdocumentation for all related systems.

  • Collaborate with the Office of the General Counsel, Client Matter Administration, the Document Management Services team, and the Help Desk to ensure the firm's business rules and security policies are consistently met.

  • Stay current with roadmaps, releases, and new features for all supported systems.

  • Work closely with the firm's Office of the General Counsel, Client Matter Administration, Document Management Services team, and the Help Desk to ensureaccurateand complete information is collected for all access requests.

  • Ensure firm security policies are followed when executing all security-related changes.

  • Update andmaintainsapproved security requests inIntappWalls and Milan.

  • Escalate anddocumentall suspected security violationsin accordance withfirm policy.

  • Partner closely with theIntappWalls andiManageDMS Service Owner to resolve issues, implement changes, and enforce firm business rules and policies.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sdegree (B. A.) from four-year college or university.

  • Minimum2-4years of legal based application support experience.

  • Working knowledge of application security concepts and familiarity withIntappWalls,iManage,iRM, or similar legal technology platforms.

  • Hands on experience managing andmaintaininglegal base applications.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to follow defined troubleshooting processes.

  • Customer-service orientedmindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret business documentation, application procedures, and technical instructions.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in a professional business environment.

  • Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and functional teams.

  • Willingness to learn new systems, processes, and technologies.

  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with teammates and other business areas.

  • Strategic problem solving and project management skills.

  • Technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Windows Server OS, Microsoft Windows Desktop OS (Windows 11), Microsoft Azure, Integration Builder, Wall Builder

  • Procient withIntappIntegration Builder, Flow, Open, Conicts & Wall Builder.

  • Familiarity with SQL and basic reporting concepts; ability to run queries or review existing reports (SSRS experience preferred but notrequired).
