Manufacturing Weld Manager

The Role:

Entegris is currently seeking a Manufacturing Weld Manager to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division. This position will be at our San Luis Obispo, CA facility.

TheManufacturingWeldManageris responsible forsupporting the ManufacturingWeldteams.This role is hands-on and involves both administrative and technical oversight, making it central tomaintainingsmooth, safe, and high-quality welding operations.TheManufacturing WeldManager will report directly to the OperationsManager.

What You'll Do:

• Directly manage a team ofwelders.
• Ensure Welding proceduresare followedconsistently.
• Schedule and coordinate daily welding activities to meet production targets.
• Monitorequipment maintenance.
• Provide guidance,directionand leadership.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address issues related to weld design, manufacturability, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve weld-related non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on welding quality and techniques, supporting production, engineering, and quality departments.
• Documentation:Maintainaccuraterecords of production output, scrap, and any issuesencounteredduring the welding process.
• Support the development and implementation of welding procedures, documentation, and process improvements.
• Monitor and report on key performance metrics for the welding department.
• Foster a positive workenvironment and promote teamwork.
• Address any quality issues.
• Champion a culture of safety, accountability, and craftsmanship on the shop floor.
• Create a healthy and safe work environment for all employees.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What We Seek:

• BAin Welding Technology Management, WeldingEngineeringor a related fieldstrongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of welding experiencein a manufacturing environment, including hands-on welding, inspection, and training responsibilities.
• Understand the business aspects ofwelding operations.
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and safety standards.
• Strong communicationand leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate team members.
• Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent) preferred.
• Working understanding of ASME, PEDand SEMI requirements for high purity welding.
• Continuous Improvement certification (Lean, six-sigma, and/orTPM) preferred.
• Excellent leadership skills, great attention to detail, and goal-oriented.
• Ability to manage and supervise complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

• Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
