2nd Shift

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS - GENERAL:

Authorized to perform incoming inspection of purchased parts and outside processed parts; verifying parts, visual checks, labels, container conditions, packaging, etc.

Authorized to reject nonconforming purchased or outside processed parts and to initiate proper procedure to notify vendor. Authorized to perform dock audits on finished goods; verifying parts, visual checks, labels, container conditions, packaging, etc.

Understand customer requirements for labeling, packaging, and production standards. Assists in product certification, containment, customer complaints, etc. Assists in problem solving teams and interface with Production, Maintenance, Tool & Die members as required.

Assist in control of material - conforming and nonconforming - follow-up on nonconformities. Responsible for data entry of audit reports, filing and control of audit reports. Authorized to reject and direct containment action for nonconforming product.

Authorized to stop manufacturing process when a nonconforming issue is identified.

Performs any tasks necessary to meet company goals and requirements as directed by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or GED

At least 1-2 years manufacturing experience

Basic computer skills

SPC knowledge preferred


MAJOR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Dock Auditor must be able to stand on the concrete floor for the duration of work shift, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, bend to the floor, and use arms and hands. Visual precision is needed for visually inspecting parts for quality at production equipment speed, and for reading documents, machine gauges, and precision measuring instruments.

The doc auditor must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and repetitively lift up to 35 pounds from and to a height of 10-56 inches for the work shift.

Dock auditor may be hired to work in a specific area, however, all team members are expected to be able to work in all production areas in order to promote productivity, quality & safety.

Dock auditor must possess visual acuity for reading documents, blueprints and precision measuring instruments.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works in a stamping and assembly factory environment. The dock auditor is subject to high noise levels from operating machines and physical hazards from moving equipment, machine parts, the press apparatus, inhaling fumes and dust and skin exposure to oils and other fluids.
