POSITION SPECIFICS

    Penn StateBerks is seeking applications to fill an Instructional Designer position. The position will be supporting faculty instructional design needs atthe Penn StateBerks campus.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    As an Instructional Designer, you will:

    • Partner with faculty to design and enhance courses using effective learning strategies, multimedia, and educational technologies.

    • Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and copyright guidelines.

    • Provide one-on-one consultations and faculty support for instructional technologies and pedagogical best practices.

    • Organize and lead professional development sessions and onboard new faculty on instructional tools.

    • Research and recommend new instructional technologies, tools, and instructional approaches, including accessibility tools.

    • Serve as a liaison with university-wide teaching and learning initiatives.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Strong collaboration and consulting skills with faculty and staff.

    • Expertise in multimedia development tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Photoshop, Premiere, Camtasia, and/or Kaltura Mediaspace.

    • Familiarity with learning management systems (Canvas preferred).

    • Technical and pedagogical proficiency in creating e-learning content.

    • Basic HTML knowledge and an understanding of graphic design principles.

    • Experience with photography and multimedia production.

    • Solid grasp of instructional design best practices for online, hybrid, and synchronous learning environments.

    • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

    • Ability to supervise student workers when needed.

    • Experience with accessibility standards and tools.

    • Creative problem-solving and a passion for innovative teaching solutions.

    MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

    Master's Degree 1+ years of relevant experience Required Certifications: None

    SALARY & BENEFITS

    The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $51,000.00 - $74,000.00.
