Application and Estimating Engineer

Join the IMS team as an Application and Estimating Engineer and help bring back manufacturing to the U.S. You will work closely with sales and engineering to configure, design, and estimate overhead crane systems for a wide range of industries:

* Space exploration

* Automotive

* Metals production

* Power generation

* US Armed Forces

What You'll Do:

* Perform engineering design to size and select equipment for overhead material handling.

* Review project specifications and customer provided engineering drawings.

* Work with customers to develop solutions to challenging problems.

* Gather vendor quotes, estimate production requirements, and prepare bid packages.

* Zero to two years' experience in engineering design or estimating, preferably in the overhead crane industry or in a heavy equipment industry.

* Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology, civil engineering, or structural engineering from an accredited university.

* Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

* Advanced Excel skills and basic programming skills are a plus.

* Detail-oriented with good communication skills.
