Position Summary

The Client Service Associate, Equities supports the Equity Portfolio Specialist team at TCW and is responsible for providing reporting, marketing, client servicing support for our diverse line-up of equity strategies. This role requies a solid understanding of the key attributes of equity investment portfolio reporting, including performance, portfolio characteristics, and valuation metrics.



Essential Duties

    Prepare commentaries and fund performance reviews across equity strategies
  • Research, develop and prepare written presentation materials with relevant industry and company data
  • Assist in responding to client inquiries by assembling market data, developing consistent narratives, and liaising with portfolio managers and research analysts
  • Coordinate with Communications while developing presentation materials and preparing periodic updates to ensure that timelines are met
  • Customize reporting material to meet different client needs and requests
  • Liaise with other departments (Product Services, Client Services, Marketing, Investment Operations, Performance Attribution, and Legal) to support client requirements and assist in
    providing information related to client inquiries
  • Innovate and draft marketing charts for new viewpoints on performance and investment ideas; provide sales teams with relevant news flow related to current events pertinent to
    given investment strategies
  • Prepare a variety of internal reports for broad distribution across the firm
  • Identify ways of creating efficiencies/improving processes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working in financial services (internship experience will be considered)
  • Working knowledge and understanding of capital markets
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint

  • Well organized and able to prioritize multiple requests from a variety of sources

Desired Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or FactSet
  • Familiarity with portfolio attribution

This role requires candidates to work from a TCW office five days a week.

Estimated Compensation:

Base Salary: For CA based position, the base salary range is $80k-$100k. This represents base salary range only.

Other Compensation:In addition to the base salary, this position will be eligible to be considered for an annual discretionary bonus.
