Job Summary

We are seeking a Corporate Community Outreach Coordinator III to join our Corporate Community Engagement (CCE) team within the Corporate Communications and Public Affairs Division at The Aerospace Corporation. This role drives the development, execution, and enhancement of programs that support K-12 STEM initiatives, employee giving, and volunteer opportunities. The role is integral to building internal and external networks, managing multi-faceted projects, and ensuring that corporate citizenship efforts align with Aerospace's organizational values.

The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo CA.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Program Design & Execution:

    • Create and Develop Initiatives:Develop innovative programs focused on K-12 STEM education and employee community engagement. Transform strategic CCE objectives into actionable programs tailored to target audiences.

    • Manage End-to-End Execution:Oversee all aspects of program implementation-from conceptualization and planning to rollout and follow-up evaluation. Ensure programs are delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals.

    • Evaluate Success:Establish key performance metrics, monitor program outcomes, and continuously refine program components based on data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback.

  • Partnerships & Network Building:

    • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with schools, community organizations, industry partners, and other relevant agencies to support STEM outreach and community engagement.

    • Schedule and lead outreach meetings with community groups, coalitions, and industry partners to foster collaboration and drive mutual goals.

  • Strategic Planning & Analysis:

    • Research & Best Practices:Conduct ongoing research to understand market trends, stakeholder needs, and policy developments. Use this information to drive program innovation and ensure that practices are industry leading.

  • Content & Communications:

    • Develop engaging content for reports, presentations, and internal and external communications that highlight program impact and organizational CCE efforts.

    • Prepare materials and presentation decks to support outreach meetings and stakeholder engagements.

  • Employee Engagement:

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and promote initiatives that increase employee awareness, giving, and volunteering.

    • Organize internal events and training sessions to engage employees in CCE efforts and deepen their connection with community outreach projects.

  • Compliance & Innovation:

    • Ensure Compliance:Guarantee that all programs adhere to both internal standards and external regulations.

    • Foster Innovation:Continuously seek out new opportunities for program enhancement, identifying and addressing gaps to maximize impact.

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for Outreach Coordinator III include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications or related field is required

  • A minimum of (3) years of demonstrated relevant experienceis required

  • Previous outreach, community engagement or STEM program coordination experience is required

  • Experience in corporate community outreach, CCE program management, or similar roles, with specific exposure to educational, volunteer, or employee engagement initiatives.

  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop compelling reports and share complex data in an accessible manner.

  • Demonstrated success in building and nurturing partnerships across public and private sectors.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends, benchmarking data, and stakeholder insights to drive innovative programs.

  • Proficiency in collaboration and leadership within cross-functional teams.

How You Can Stand Out

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Event planning experience is strongly desired.

  • Experience with performance metrics and data driven insights for community outreach programs is preferred.

  • High level of comfort maintaining strategic partnerships and leading meetings is favored.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$30.80 - $46.20 Pay Basis: Hourly
