Job Summary

Essential Functions

• All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's purpose: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference.

• Operates the courier vehicle/truck in accordance with written policies/procedures and state and local laws. Transports all materials between facilities in a timely manner as scheduled.

• Follows chain of custody procedures and maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Utilizes tracking technology and acquires necessary signatures upon delivery.

• Handles all materials with appropriate care, including temperature-sensitive items.

• In coordination with management, adjusts schedule to accommodate rush orders and other priorities.

• Responsible for routine maintenance of vehicles including gas, oil, air, etc. Reports service and repair requirements to Supervisor.

• Loads and unloads material transported and delivers to designated areas.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

Minimum Requirements

• Education - High School diploma or equivalent or post-high school diploma / highest degree earned

• Experience - No experience required.

• Valid Driver's License and an acceptable motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) chart.

• Ability to work in a busy, high-pressure environment.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders including coworkers, management, and clinical partners.

• Demonstrated proficiency in English, both written and verbal, including active listening.

• Demonstrated proficiency in customer service and problem solving.
