Overview

Helio Health's In Community Program (formerly Circare) is designed to help individuals and families, who have encountered certain obstacles, develop the resources and supports to live a satisfying, naturally independent life.

Join Helio Health's Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, serving families and youth in Onondaga County. This multi-disciplinary team will work with children ages 10 to 21 and their families to provide intensive intervention to support complex needs, as well as keeping children at risk of hospitalization or residential care in their homes.

The Clinical Support/Counselor I for the Youth ACT Team, who will assist in treatment, rehabilitation and support functions, and provide education to families in the Youth ACT program. The position is full-time, M-F. Helio Health is looking for a candidate interested in community-based work and who is committed to supporting children with complex mental health needs and their families.

Pay rate: $25.50/hour.

In addition to Helio Health's comprehensive benefits package, Full-Time hires for this position are eligible for a Sign-On Incentive of $1,500 or more (depending on licensure)!



Responsibilities

    Work with families and youth in support of identified treatment goals through targeted service interventions (e.g., skill development, education)
  • Assist families and youth in acquiring the necessary skills and abilities to manage their health, improve family relationships, and develop opportunities for prosocial activities and interactions
  • Integrate educational and vocational goals and services into treatment
  • Actively participate in daily team meetings
  • Complete all required documentation
  • Other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Possess at minimum a bachelor's degree, master's preferred, in a clinical or behavioral health field, including nursing, social work, and/or counseling
  • At least 2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting or community-based healthcare setting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft products
  • Experience using electronic health record programs
  • Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Helio Health's insurance carrier requires that employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.
