*Description*
The Privacy Contracts Manager is responsible for managing and negotiating privacy-related contractual obligations, ensuring compliance with global data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PIPEDA, PIPL), and supporting vendor risk management processes. This role serves as a key liaison between the Privacy Office, Legal, Procurement, and business units to ensure that data protection requirements are embedded in all third-party agreements. Key Responsibilities *Contract Review & Negotiation oDraft, review, and negotiate Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), and other privacy-related provisions in vendor and customer contracts. oEnsure contractual terms align with applicable privacy regulations and company policies. *Compliance & Risk Management oAssess third-party vendors for privacy compliance and maintain documentation of risk assessments. oMonitor regulatory changes and update contract templates accordingly. *Cross-Functional Collaboration oWork closely with Legal, Procurement, IT Security, and business stakeholders to integrate privacy requirements into contracts. oProvide guidance on privacy obligations and contractual risk mitigation strategies. *Policy & Process Development oMaintain and improve processes for contract lifecycle management related to privacy. oDevelop playbooks and guidance for internal teams on privacy contract requirements. Qualifications *Education: Bachelor's degree in law, Business, or related field; JD or equivalent preferred. *Experience: o3-5 years of experience in contract management, preferably with a focus on privacy or data protection. oFamiliarity with global privacy laws (CCPA and other U.S. privacy laws, GDPR, PIPEDA, PIPL etc.). Skills: oStrong negotiation and drafting skills. oExcellent understanding of data protection principles and contractual risk. oAbility to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. oWorking knowledge of automation tools (OneTrust, Jira, etc). ________________________________________ Preferred Certifications *CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or similar privacy certifications. *Skills* Contract, Privacy Regulations, Data Protection Principles, Contract Negotiation, data processing agreement *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Software: One trust & JIRA Software Evaluation Process Must understand privacy regulations, privacy language in contracts, and privacy technologies Must understand how to complete DPAs (will be writing them using Columbia templates) *Experience Level* Intermediate Level *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Portland, OR. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $54.00/hr.
