Responsibilities
Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. The hospital also offers outpatient treatment. Our six-acre campus is adjacent to a 123-acre Audubon Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary, which is held in perpetuity and cannot be developed from its natural state. The Unit Manager is an accomplished nursing leader which is a liaison to Nursing Administration, department directors and administration to ensure coordinated and efficient operations of his/her designated units. The position may assume an administrative role in the absence of the Nursing Supervisor or Chief Nursing Officer. Performs any and all professional nursing duties as determined by qualifications and training. SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the Facility's image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, family members, physicians, referral sources, affiliating schools, visitors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with facility standards and guidelines to promote positive relations. Qualifications Licenses or Certifications: Current licensure and registration by the Arkansas Board of Nurse Examiners as a Registered Nurse. Current CPR, Verbal De-escalation, and Handle with Care certifications, or must obtain within 14-days of hire. Successful completion of the American Nursing Association Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse program with credentialing is preferred. Total education, vocational training and experience: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Minimum Five (5) years experience within the behavioral health field, including two years in a supervisory role preferred.
