Title: Financial Analyst - CDGS

$59,200 - $65,000 / Posted Thru: 1/29/2026



Location: Remote/Virtual - Must work and live in the state of Michigan

Re-occurring In-Person Meetings Required



Employment Terms: This position is offered on a temporary basis for an initial six-month probationary period. During this time, the employee will participate in training and demonstrate proficiency in all essential job functions.



Upon successful completion of the probationary period and satisfactory performance, the position may transition to permanent status, contingent upon:



  • Continued funding availability within the organization.
  • Ongoing satisfactory job performance.



Purpose: This position is responsible for providing financial oversight, preparing and monitoring budgets, analyzing accounts, and generating timely financial reports to support program staff while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of budgets by preparing, monitoring, and forecasting expenditures and future spending.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders, expense reimbursements/advances, and subcontractor/vendor invoices ensuring timely and accurate submission to the internal finance office.
  • Develop, review and track Subcontracts, Letters of Agreement and Facility Agreements, communicating with subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Conduct budget meetings to analyze costs, project future expenditures, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyze and reconcile accounts by identifying discrepancies and collaborating with staff to implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and amend budgets for new and ongoing projects while reviewing subcontracts, contracts, and agreements.
  • Serve as a financial liaison with internal finance offices to ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures.
  • Research, prepare, and verify financial data to provide recommendations that support decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on expense tracking, travel reimbursements, and financial policies in conjunction with program staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality, uphold a high level of professionalism, and foster positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in financial data management, budget preparation, and account reconciliation. Minimum 2-3 years post-degree professional experience. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills to support reporting and financial analysis

Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Constantly required to exchange accurate information. Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery. Constantly observes details at close range. Frequently remains in a stationary position. Occasionally moves about inside an office. Occasionally moves office equipment weighing up to 25 pounds. This job is performed in an indoor office environment and involves regular use of computers and other standard office equipment. The work environment may include limited exposure to moderate noise levels.
