Job purpose

Responsible for applying product knowledge to request specials from various manufacturing facilities. They will work with our internal departments along with our customers to review, request and provide pricing based on request we receive.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Request, price and provide special quotations to sales, customer service and specifications.
  • Respond to incoming technical questions regarding various product lines.
  • Use technical knowledge to help team members develop creative solutions for projects.
  • Handle Project Management and NeoCon specials.
  • Work with Customer Care when an order comes in with specials that has an issue or needs to be resolved relating to the specials on the order.
  • Working the team and IT when special needs to be modified to pull in the correction options, weights and cubes, etc...
  • Develop and implement ways to streamline processes within the department.
    • Develop and maintain SQ forms
    • Create search function for existing SQ's

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and AS/400 required.
  • Must work well in a team environment with strong communication skills.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and various Design software solutions.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
