Job Summary:


Under the direct supervision of the Materials Manager, the Stockroom Technician performs responsible stockroom duties to ensure the accuracy of company inventory and supplies.



Job Functions:


Essential:



  • Keeps stock levels full for the production floor.
  • Fills parts (kitfills) for production.
  • Provides components to internal employees as requested.
  • Restocks components received and/or returned from other departments.
  • Assists with cycle and year-end physical counts as directed.




Marginal:



  • Performs other duties as deemed necessary or as required.

Requirements

Job Qualifications:


Experience: At least 2 years stockroom environment experience or comparable field is required. Employee is expected to acquire the necessary information and skills to perform the job reasonably well within 90 days in the position.



Education: High school diploma or GED required.



Skills: Demonstrated stockroom skills are required. Good attention to detail, demonstrated organizational and math skills is required. Demonstrated computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel preferred. Strong written, verbal and communication skills are required.



Certificates and Licenses: No certification or licenses required.



Problem Solving: No problem solving is required in this position.



Decision Making: Limited decision-making is required in this position. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.




Financial Accountability: Employee is responsible for the safe use of departmental equipment and company vehicle. Employee is not involved in the authorization of departmental expenditures.



Personal Relations: Employee has continual contact with other employees and departments.



Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.



Work Environment: No adverse working conditions exist. This position performs work in a normal stockroom environment, which are conditions with moderate noise. Occasional local travel using company vehicle is required, therefore exposure to weather and driving conditions will occur. This position is in an electrostatic discharge environment to prevent damage to company parts.



Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to perform typical stockroom duties. The employee can be required to frequently lift items up to 10 pounds approximately 50% of the time. Employee must have the ability to stand, lift, stoop and kneel. Frequent use of hands to reach to retrieve and replace parts in appropriate storage locations is required. Must possess the ability to effectively discuss information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
