CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Water/WW Engineer to join our Water/Wastewater Team in Blacksburg, VA, where you will help lead the planning, analysis, and design of wastewater collection systems. This is your chance to take technical ownership of meaningful infrastructure projects, mentor emerging engineers, and drive forward innovative solutions that support sustainable, thriving communities.



What You'll Do:

    Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to complete complex engineering designs, technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for water/wastewater projects
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of projects with other engineering disciplines and project management staff
  • Monitor project progress and performance to ensure efficient production and minimize issues in vital infrastructure
  • Complete projects within budget and scheduling constraints, supporting sustainable and cost-effective solutions
  • Provide guidance and technical review for junior engineering staff


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Minimum of 4 years of discipline-specific engineering experience required
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • Advanced proficiency in engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.), as well as Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, business practices, and engineering laws.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Participation in professional engineering societies/organizations preferred

Salary Range:

$110,000 - $120,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
