DESCRIPTION OF WORK
-
In this vital position, you will oversee the planning, management, and execution of a comprehensive array of social services for residents receiving nursing and personal care at the Southeastern Veterans Center. As a Social Worker Supervisor, your responsibilities will include establishing departmental policies and procedures, assigning tasks, setting performance standards, and evaluating employee performance through regular reviews. You will lead a team of social services staff who provide essential counseling and case management services to residents, while also managing all administrative and clerical functions related to admissions, transfers, and discharges. - Full-time employment, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 1st shift - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. You will work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- May change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Social Worker 2 or a Forensic Social Worker 2 (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); and a master's degree in social work or social welfare; or
- Three years of professional social work experience, including one year in a consultative, administrative, advisory, or lead work capacity; and a master's degree in social work or social welfare.
Conditions of Employment:
- You must be in possession of a valid license as a Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists and Professional Counselors.
Other Requirements:
- This particular position also requires at least one year of social work experience in a long term care facility.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
