Security Officer - Armed Transportation Patrols

As a Security Officer - Armed Transportation Patrols in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a highly visible presence at a government location. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. This is an armed position requiring professionalism and reliability at all times.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as required.
• Follow all protocols for the handling and use of firearms in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
• Assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors by providing information and guidance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Participate in security-related drills and training sessions as directed by Allied Universal or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
