** Starting salary is based on minimum education and years of experience and increases based on education and/or experience.

Overview: WOOD is seeking a highly experienced Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support a large, missioncritical software development and integration program. In this role, you will partner with a team of security professionals to secure enterpriselevel systems across software development, IT support, systems integration, and network engineering environments. You will shape and maintain the security posture of complex information systems, defend critical data, and implement strategies to detect and mitigate threats across diverse environments. Security Clearance Requirements:

This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.



Responsibilities

    Implement and enforce information systems security policies, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Perform Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) management, remediation, and reporting.
  • Develop, maintain, and update system security documentation, including SSPs and C&A artifacts.
  • Collaborate closely with the ISSM to uphold the program's IA posture.
  • Maintain the operational security posture for assigned information systems.
  • Conduct security evaluations to ensure systems meet all certification and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain technical records for workstations, servers, network devices, and security appliances.
  • Analyze cyber threats and develop strategies for incident detection, reporting, and remediation.
  • Manage securityrelated configuration changes across software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Support evaluation and deployment of security solutions for multiclassification environments.
  • Develop, update, and enforce systemspecific security policies.
  • Administer user identification and authentication mechanisms for assigned systems.


Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of handson ISSO experience supporting secure system operations in isolated, connected, and standalone environments.
  • 5+ years supporting the preparation and maintenance of SSPs and other security documentation.
  • 5+ years administering tools supporting IAVA management.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with security tools, hardware/software security implementation, encryption technologies, and communication protocols.
  • Extensive experience evaluating software architectures and systems for compliance with security requirements.
  • Background implementing and enforcing security policies on largescale software or IT programs.
  • Demonstrated success delivering daytoday security operations for complex systems.
  • Selfmotivated, solutionsoriented, and committed to best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 12+ years of relevant experience supporting largescale software development or integration programs.
  • DoD 8570 Compliance:
    • IAT Level II or higher
    • IAM Level II or higher
