Markon is seeking a Systems Engineer - Level 2 to support the Fort Meade Customer. This role provides systems engineering and infrastructure support for mission-critical environments, with a focus on Linux systems, virtualization, networking, and storage technologies. The position will apply hands-on technical expertise to support testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities.

Provide systems engineering and technical support for mission systems and infrastructure.
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems, including command-line operations and basic Bash scripting.
• Support virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco networking technologies, including NX-OS, IOS, and/or ACI.
• Support NetApp storage systems, including monitoring, configuration, and issue resolution.
• Utilize Puppet for configuration management and automation support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and storage issues across integrated environments.
• Collaborate with engineers, operators, and testers to support system validation and operational readiness.
• Document configurations, procedures, and technical findings as required.

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline plus 14 years of relevant systems engineering experience.
• Experience supporting mission test, evaluation, or operational environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux, including command-line usage, troubleshooting, and basic scripting.
• Experience with VMware vSphere virtualization.
• Experience supporting Cisco network platforms, including NX-OS, IOS, and/or ACI.
• Experience with NetApp storage technologies.
• Experience using Puppet for system configuration management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
