Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. Responsibilities for this Position Role and Position Objectives: As a systems engineer for the Littoral Combat Ship Program, to include VSHIP and the integrated tactical trainer, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for supporting all facets of the VSHIP program along with supporting sustainment activities at the integated tactical trainer. We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: TSCE knowledge, VMware knowledge, Virtual Ship Simulator knowledge, Navigation knowledge, network knowledge (Cisco switches and Alcatel switches), and ECS (engineering control system) knowledge. Anticipate travel could be up to 10% at times based on location of the US Navy Ships and other related activities and customers. Now that these ships are in the fleet the San Diego office supports their modernization and sustainment ensuring that ships are mission ready. This role is directly supporting the integrated tactical trainer and teh Virtual Ship military simulator product line. Duties and Tasks: * Plans, authorizes, and monitors the engineering work (including providing strong leadership to ensure all events occur as planned) * Leads small proposals and ECPs with identification of cross business unit strengths and technical shortcomings Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Proven organizational and time management skills What Sets You Apart: * 10+ years of experience in developing and testing Military Ship handling Simulatengineering for bridge simulationsors such as Virtual Ship * 10+ years of experience in performing systems * Experience testing HLA, DIS, and visual federates * Specific experience leading technical design and installation projects for marine simulators * Specific experience working with the Virtual Ship military simulator product line * Experience performing maintenance activities on delivered integrated tactical trainers * Experience directing and completing shore based trainer installations * Experience designing and implementing LCS mission module training simulations * Experience leading systems engineering teams for training simulations Our Commitment to You: * An exciting career path with opportunities for continuous learning and development. * Competitive benefits, including 401k matching, flex time off, paid parental leave, health-care benefits, health and wellness programs, employee resource and social groups, and more.
