Security Officer - Distribution Center - Access Control

As a Security Officer - Distribution Center - Access Control in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, monitoring access points, and providing exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Screen individuals, packages, and/or cargo entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the logistics and distribution facility.
• Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, or policy violations as required by site procedures.
• Collaborate with team members and site personnel to uphold a secure environment and support operational needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X ray screening experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
