Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Morgue Patrol in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and provide outstanding customer service and communication, embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and support a secure healthcare environment.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and local authorities as needed to address incidents and maintain a professional presence.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and Allied Universal procedures to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants may be required to receive vaccines as mandated by the hospital.
  • Applicants may be required to work in or near a hospital morgue.
  • Applicants may be required to restrain individuals in accordance with hospital protocols.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
