Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Full-Time in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will be visible throughout the property, support guests and staff with exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly in all situations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for residents and staff.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
• Communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing conditions and responding appropriately to any situation that may arise.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
