| Essential Job Duties |
We are looking for an individual with strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills to lead and coordinate break and project cleaning for the Facilities Enhancement Team. In this fast paced environment, the position's overall function is to serve as a working supervisor including the supervision, training, performance, development and recognition of individual Technicians and teams.
The Facilities Supervisor is a key member of the
Building Services Leadership Team, working collaboratively with other Supervisors and the Manager. This position serves as the lead for
project planning, tracking, and service frequency, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and to established standards.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Coordinate. manage, evaluate, develop, and recognize the work of other Facility Enhancement Technicians.
- Train staff members on routine processes and develop their skills in non-routine tasks, equipment and processes.
- Ensure the distribution of the inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment in working order so that team members have the tools to be successful in their roles.
- Coordinate inspection and repair of equipment and serve as planning contact for special cleaning projects.
- Responsible for responding to emergencies and inclement weather.
- Safely use and maintain both standard and advanced housekeeping equipment to accomplish assigned tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing, and ensure equipment is in working order.
- Keep up-to-date department records and tracking of cleaning frequencies, completion, and next service due in order to assist team members in planning and scheduling for efficiency and accuracy.
- Understand and report discrepancies found within the assigned buildings in addition to responding/reporting to emergencies, inclement weather and employee injuries.
- May be required to drive a university vehicle for pick-up and drop-off of supplies/equipment/staff as needed.
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical stamina, including the ability to:
- Lift a minimum of 60 pounds frequently and up to 90 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Stand for long periods of time including walking, bending, twisting, pulling and pushing.

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of experience in the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Some positions may require Certification or eligibility for Certification.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Advanced housekeeping experience, preferably in a hospitality, retail, or other high traffic and high expectation facility.
- Supervision or project lead experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and best business practices in the housekeeping industry, including green cleaning.
- Experience with MS Office/Google suite to create and edit information.
- Valid Driver's License preferred. State vehicle furnished to drive to events or other Campus Enterprises locations.
