Job Description:

The Operations Foreman supervises and performs manual work with contractor(s) and/or crews in the maintenance and operation of Company property and facilities. The work is performed under limited supervision and requires exercise of independent judgment and initiative. This position is located in Gig Harbor, WA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Schedules and performs manual work with contractor and/or crews in the maintenance and operation of Company property and facilities

  • Coordinates daily work orders with service personnel and maintenance crew

  • Provides training for employees

  • Investigates customer and water quality complaints

  • Operates, monitors, maintains records and performs minor maintenance of wells, booster pumps, water treatment and purification equipment, and auxiliary engines

  • Performs tank inspection and leak detection

  • Locates water mains and Company facilities as required

  • Collects water quality samples and hands off to currier who delivers to water quality laboratory

  • Repairs and services pumping and treatment equipment, and mains

  • Oversees and directs employees for loading, testing, chlorinating, and sampling of mains

  • Oversees, records, and updates the measurements of fittings as installed by contractor (as built)

  • Assists and coordinates the Flushing Program, maintenance of the grounds, and cleaning of reservoirs

  • Works with Department of Health on Sanitary Surveys for systems in the assigned region

  • Partners with the Regional Manager to work directly with managed water systems and their operations

  • Works at heights and in confined spaces

  • Performs data entry for events that occur on water systems

  • Participates in and supports the Company's Continuous Improvement Program and projects

  • Performs work on-site in the assigned office location

  • Performs other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or a GED

  • Experience in construction and operation of water systems desired

  • Washington State Water Distribution Manager 2 certification

  • Washington State Cross Connection Specialist certification

  • Washington State Water Treatment Plant Operator certification

  • First Aid Card must be obtained within one year

  • Valid Washington State Driver's License

Salary Range: $71,300 - $130,400
