Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Specialist in Polkton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will perform routine patrols and help to deter security-related incidents. This role is both armed and driving, requiring you to remain visible, respond to incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related breaches, or hazards within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Follow established protocols for access control, visitor management, and incident reporting.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed in response to incidents.
• Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing environments and conditions as required by the location.
• Document all activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
