Job Description




As a Security Officer - Government Patrol Specialist in Doral, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those you serve. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to situations as needed, and deliver outstanding customer service, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and integrity through teamwork and a caring culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in accordance with Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the assigned government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related incidents to the appropriate authorities and/or management.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by the location's protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Complete required documentation and reports accurately and in a timely manner as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A college degree is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton certifications are preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
