Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver

As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver in Edwardsville, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional at this logistics and distribution location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, monitoring entry points and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. This driving post requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle. You will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication, all while embodying our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and drivers with site-specific access procedures and directions as needed.
• Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with location policies and protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or policy violations in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to maintain a professional and secure environment at the logistics and distribution location.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, following site-specific instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
