Security Officer - Armed Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Poway, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout financial institution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence. This is an armed and driving role, where you will interact with clients and visitors, deliver exceptional customer service, and respond to security-related situations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the financial institution to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or customers, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as needed.
• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the location.
• Work in varying environments and conditions based on the needs of the financial institution.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A California weapons permit with 9mm caliber endorsement is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
