Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Team in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and technology-focused locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a strong visible presence. You will engage with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail and technology/media/telecom locations, including both the business interior and the perimeter.
• Observe for any unusual activity or potential risks during patrols and report findings according to site protocols.
• Assist with access control, helping to monitor entry and exit points, and interact with visitors, employees, and/or vendors as needed.
• Document and communicate any incidents, observations, or concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives according to established procedures.
• Support a welcoming environment for clients and visitors by providing information and assistance while maintaining security-related awareness throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
