As a Screener with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will greet visitors, verify identification, manage access control and badging, and use a computer and/or tablet to document screenings and visitor activity. You will conduct visible rounds in assigned areas, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with staff and guests to help support a positive environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a financial services location.
  • Screen employees, contractors, and visitors upon entry using approved access control methods and screening equipment, as required by post orders.
  • Verify identification and appointment details, issue visitor credentials when authorized, and help direct visitors to the appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points for irregular activity, unauthorized items, or policy violations, and report concerns through the designated reporting channels.
  • Communicate with client personnel and Allied Universal leadership to coordinate arrivals, deliveries, and controlled access requests according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support from supervisors and/or emergency services when necessary.
  • Document screening activity, incidents, and unusual observations in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems per site requirements.
  • Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, intercoms, and access control platforms as assigned, and report malfunctions promptly.
  • Assist with loss prevention and security-related awareness by observing behavioral indicators and reporting suspicious activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical response notifications, and shelter-in-place actions per post orders, while maintaining controlled access to the screening area.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
