Job Description




As a Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol Driver in Napoleon, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a fast-paced food and beverage location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support teams through clear communication and outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the food and beverage production and warehouse areas, around the building perimeter, and in parking and trailer yards as required by post orders.
  • Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors and deliveries according to site procedures.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and other site systems when assigned, and communicate unusual conditions to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire-related alarms, severe weather, and unauthorized access concerns.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and complete required logs such as truck, visitor, and key control logs when assigned.
  • Perform rounds that may include checking doors, gates, docks, and restricted areas for signs of tampering or other irregular conditions, and report concerns through the appropriate chain of command.
  • Assist with traffic control for employee shift changes, visitor arrivals, and delivery activity as needed, while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support site-specific loss prevention and product integrity practices by observing and reporting suspicious activity and/or policy violations in accordance with post orders.
  • Work in varying environments typical of a manufacturing and distribution location, including indoor and outdoor posts, changing weather, and periods of walking and standing.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
