Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital ER Patrol in Mangonia Park, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a fast-paced healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Guided by our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, you will work as part of a team that puts people first and acts with integrity on every shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and property-related incidents.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, including parking areas, entrances, corridors, and common spaces. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and help manage visitor flow in accordance with location procedures, including directing visitors to appropriate check-in areas and reporting access concerns.
  • Observe and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to location contacts and Allied Universal supervision, completing required documentation.
  • Assist clinical and administrative staff with security-related support requests, such as standing by during sensitive situations and helping with crowd control when needed.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and location personnel via radio and/or phone, escalating issues to appropriate resources when required.
  • Complete routine reports, incident reports, and shift logs with accurate, timely information, following Allied Universal and location guidelines.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities such as fire, severe weather, and medical emergency notifications by following post orders and directing people to designated areas as instructed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be able to work in a hospital environment where vaccines are present.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
