As a Security Officer - CRE Patrol Driver in Chesapeake, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a commercial real estate location, where you will complete routine vehicle patrols, perform security-related checks, and document observations using a computer and/or tablet. With a valid driver's license, you will help maintain a visible presence, respond to concerns, and deliver strong customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and medical situations, and escalate to property management and/or public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including parking areas, common areas, and perimeter routes, to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access as directed by post orders by monitoring entrances, checking credentials when required, and verifying visitor and contractor authorization.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or building systems when assigned, and report irregular conditions such as suspicious activity, unauthorized entry, and/or property damage.
  • Perform customer service focused patrol checks of doors, gates, loading areas, and common spaces, and report maintenance and/or building issues to the appropriate contact.
  • Complete detailed written reports and activity logs, including incident reports and daily shift documentation, using Allied Universal reporting tools.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, follow post orders, and participate in briefings and/or updates related to site operations.
  • Support emergency and incident response by assisting with evacuations, directing people to designated areas, and helping to keep access routes clear for responders when applicable.
  • Maintain a professional presence and appearance, provide directions and general assistance to the public, and address questions and concerns in a courteous manner.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
