As an Allied Universal Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support smooth daily operations by conducting screening and access control, checking badges, and using computer or tablet tools to document activity. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help identify security-related concerns while delivering a caring, reliable experience grounded in integrity and teamwork. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers as they enter designated areas, following site access requirements and directing individuals to the proper check-in process.
- Conduct security-related screening of packages, parcels, bags, and/or shipments using approved methods and equipment as required by post orders.
- Control access at screening points by verifying identification, badges, and/or delivery documentation, and documenting entries and exits as required.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports related to screening activities, incidents, and irregular conditions, and communicate updates through established reporting channels.
- Observe for unusual activity near screening lanes, entry points, and adjacent work areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited items.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as directed by post orders. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by coordinating with site personnel regarding screening requirements, traffic flow, and/or temporary access needs.
- Follow chain of custody and evidence handling guidelines when prohibited items are discovered, and coordinate response actions per site procedures.
Minimum Requirements: - - Loss Prevention experience preferred.
- - Customer Service Experience preferred.
- - Access Control/Badge Experience preferred.
- - Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet preferred.
- - X-Ray Screening Experience preferred.
- - Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
