Job Description




As a Security Officer - Logistics Credential Desk in Perris, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage badging and visitor check-in, and maintain clear logs and communication. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and respond to security-related concerns with strong customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel, drivers, visitors and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control access at entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or shipping documentation, issuing temporary badges and maintaining visitor, vehicle and key logs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound truck traffic at gates and yard areas by confirming trailer numbers, seal integrity, pickup and delivery information and directing drivers to designated check-in locations.
  • Operate and monitor access control systems, alarms, radios and video surveillance equipment; report unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns per site procedure.
  • Help to deter unauthorized entry and/or theft by enforcing posted rules for restricted areas, dock doors, employee entrances and perimeter access points.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, dock areas, parking lots and perimeter, noting hazards, suspicious conditions and/or policy violations for follow-up.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, vehicle accidents and/or disturbances; notify site leadership and emergency services as directed.
  • Complete clear and accurate reports, incident documentation and shift logs, including access denials, deliveries, trailer moves, alarm events and policy-related contacts.
  • Support loss prevention and shipping and receiving processes by observing high-value freight movement, checking for tampering indicators and reporting discrepancies through the proper channels.
  • Provide assistance during peak logistics operations by coordinating with dispatch, warehouse teams and/or supervisors to maintain orderly access control and traffic flow.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6+ months of security experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
