Job Description




As a Security Officer - Media Studio Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced technology location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document activity and share timely updates with site partners while supporting a culture that is agile, reliable, and innovative. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to onsite employees, contractors, and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, lobbies, corridors, loading and receiving areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and verify credentials for employees, vendors, and scheduled visitors; direct individuals to the proper check-in and/or badging process per site policy.
  • Observe and report unusual conditions such as unsecured doors, propped entrances, suspicious behavior, or unauthorized equipment; notify site contacts and/or dispatch as required.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and disruptive behavior, and request additional assistance when needed.
  • Complete detailed written reports and electronic logs for patrols, incident responses, and security-related observations in accordance with post orders.
  • Perform routine checks of security-related systems and devices such as cameras, intercoms, gates, and alarms; report malfunctions and coordinate follow-up per procedure.
  • Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, answering general questions, and assisting with de-escalation when conflicts arise.
  • Coordinate with building management and/or onsite teams regarding deliveries, contractor work, and after-hours access consistent with site policy.
  • Follow all client and Allied Universal protocols for confidentiality and information handling within a technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
