As a Security Officer - Armed Hospital Rover in The Villages, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will help maintain a welcoming environment through high-visibility patrols, responsive incident support, and clear communication with staff, patients, and visitors. You will monitor assigned areas, document security-related activity, and assist with access and emergency response needs. Why Join Us: What You'll Do: - Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
- Control access at designated entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, and directing foot and vehicle traffic.
- Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and/or medical facility policy concerns.
- Support clinical and administrative teams with security-related standby coverage as requested, including presence during high-tension interactions and/or during patient movement.
- Observe and report conditions that may present risk to people, property, and/or operations, and communicate timely updates to the appropriate contacts.
- Complete routine security-related documentation such as incident reports, shift activity logs, and/or patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location requirements.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required, and assist with scene management until additional resources arrive.
- Assist with de-escalation efforts by using professional verbal communication and maintaining a respectful, service-oriented approach.
- Operate and monitor security-related systems as assigned, such as access control, cameras, and alarm panels, and report irregularities per post orders.
Minimum Requirements: - - Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
- - Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- - Lift More Than 20 lbs is preferred.
- - Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- - State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
- - Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- - Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- - Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- - As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- - Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- - Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- - A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
