Responsibilities

We are seeking an Expert-Level Systems Architect to help lead the design and evolution of enterprise-scale solutions supporting complex mission needs across the Intelligence Community. In this role, you will define and guide architectures for applications, APIs, data services, platforms, cloud services, and infrastructure-ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, strategic objectives, and long-term mission outcomes.

This position is ideal for a senior architect who enjoys operating at both the strategic and technical levels, influencing enterprise direction while mentoring the next generation of architects.

What You'll Do

As an Expert Systems Architect, you will work closely with Government stakeholders to design, assess, and evolve solution architectures aligned to enterprise goals.

Key Responsibilities

    Assist the Government in directing the design, development, maintenance, and documentation of solution architectures aligned to Enterprise Architecture (EA) standards and requirements.

  • Ensure architectural traceability to enterprise strategies, requirements, and governance frameworks.

  • Guide analysis of user requirements, workflows, system capabilities, and technical constraints to modernize and improve existing solutions.

  • Lead development of architectural changes based on evolving mission needs and emerging technologies.

  • Support architecture decisions across applications, APIs, data services, platforms, cloud services, and infrastructure.

  • Evaluate solution options for scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

  • Oversee and coordinate the work of senior-, mid-, and junior-level systems architects.

  • Provide expert technical guidance to support enterprise modernization and integration efforts.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field, or:

    • 4 additional years of relevant experience with no degree, or

    • 2 additional years of relevant experience with a non-STEM degree.

  • 18+ years of experience in government or industry supporting one or more of the following areas:

    • Enterprise Architecture

    • Solution Architecture

    • Data Architecture

    • DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF)

    • Intelligence Community Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)

  • Previous NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.

  • Prior IC and/or DoD program or project experience.

  • TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Desired Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Engineering Management, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM field.

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.

  • Federated Enterprise Architecture certification (Certified Enterprise Architect).

  • National Defense University (NDU), College of Information and Cyberspace - Enterprise Architecture Certification.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale modernization or transformation initiatives within GEOINT or IC mission environments.

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
