Purpose and Scope
The Training Manager is responsible for supporting the sales training function within Tolmar North America. This position will be responsible for strategic planning, developing and leading new hire and advanced sales training curriculums, applications workshops, and supporting enterprise-wide training initiatives. The role will require the ability to strategically partner with leadership and cross- functional teams to identify training priorities and gaps, propose innovative training solutions, and deploy high-impact training. Additionally, the Training Manager will support Tolmar North America with designing training for large-scale meetings such as the National Sales Meeting and Plan of Action meetings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Through consultative approach with business leaders, design, develop, and deliver customized Sales Training and Product Training curriculum and development programs throughout all levels of the organization with a focus on effective leadership, management, career development, team building and execution
- Leads without authority and actively trains Account Managers and Commercial members that engage HCPs, in all pre-Initial Sales Training (product and sales) initiatives, Initial Sales Training and Post-Initial Sales Training sustainment initiatives aligned to products with BUs, in live or virtually instructor-led training
- Champion a positive training experience for all employees by continuously establishing strong relationships with business leaders and employees
- Drive end-to-end learning and development interventions
- Develop and deploy product training with strong facilitation and platform skills through various avenues including (but not limited to) live classroom training, workshops, virtual sessions, sales meetings, and teleconference while utilizing a learning environment enriched with adult learning principles to enable optimal learning retention and application
- Complete timely updates to course materials, acting as a subject matter expert (SME), to reflect not only changes in the market landscape and selling environments, but to ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and business conduct standards
- Be a conduit for timely review of training and development materials through our MRL process
- Partner with Sales/Marketing leadership to develop comprehensive on-boarding and advanced learning curricula through the use of state-of-the-art tools including technology and materials to meet franchise training and client needs, including (but not limited to) new product launch materials, new hire materials, leader guides, and train the trainer materials
- Work with the Sr. Director to complete timely training needs assessment activities, proposing and developing solutions to fill current and potential future learning and development gaps including (but not limited to) soft skills, hard skills, and competitive selling
- Collaborate cross functionally with all Tolmar Commercial teams and SMEs within and beyond the Sales Operations and Learning & Development department to support training needs
- Provide timely updates and actionable evaluations and feedback to trainees, their manager, and any additional appropriate stakeholders
- Manage training vendor relations, contracting projects and resources ensuring vendors meet timelines and develop appropriate, effective, and compliant materials and resources
- Stay abreast of training and development best practices and current trends in pharmaceutical, device, and bioscience industries, utilizing current advances in technology
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the latest clinical information related to Tolmar products to optimize the delivery and relevance of training materials and programs
- Understand and implement training using a variety of adult learning principles
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experience designing, developing, facilitating, and supporting learning & development, organization-wide leadership development programs that cover performance management, talent development, coaching, succession planning, and relationship management
- Excellent internal and external collaboration, customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Experience working with learning management systems (LMS) preferred
- Must be flexible; able to meet changing priorities and demands and have the ability to work under pressure
- Must be a self-starter with a high degree of initiative
- Microsoft Office proficiency - with advanced PowerPoint Skills
- Must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred/Desirable: Successful Account Management and Selling within Urology, Oncology, Pediatric Endocrinology and/or Men's Health - with product emphasis in Androgen Deprivation Therapy and Testosterone Undecanoate.
- Learning & Development and/or Leadership Development experience preferred
Working Conditions
- Office environment; requiring sitting and standing.
- This position is preferred to be based in the Chicago Home Office (located in Buffalo Grove, IL), requiring up to 15% travel
- Option for remote based position if candidate can commit to ~50% travel
- (leading all Initial Sales Training aligned to New Hire Initial Sales Training in an in-person environment)
Compensation
Tolmar compensation programs are focused on equitable, fair pay practices, including market-based base pay and a strong benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary from the posted range based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between ($165,000-$200,000/year); however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/26 through 12/31/26, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to, geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
